MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
Mechanical Engineering is a field of innovation and convenience. Mechanical engineers develop new equipment and products used by companies and people to increase production, improve work processes and quality of life. Essentially, it is the responsibility of a mechanical engineer to take an idea and turn it into a product that can be sold in the marketplace. In order to accomplish this, a broad range of skills is needed, such as complex problem solving, critical thinking, and being able to exercise good judgement. Basic Mechanical Engineering duties include planning and designing tools, machines, and other mechanical equipment, as well as overseeing the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of equipment. Mechanical engineers are, above all else, problem solvers. They use math skills and analytical abilities to spot problems and resolve them. Through this course you will learn concepts such as kinetics and thermodynamics, and the design and development of machinery, ranging from simple mechanisms to more complex machines. Ensure that your career runs like a well-oiled machine with the National N Diploma: Engineering Studies: Mechanical Engineering.
